Editorial Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Our content is not medically reviewed. GutFeel.ai does not employ physicians or registered dietitians, and no article on this site has been reviewed or approved by a clinician. We are a product and content team writing about published research. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a substitute for medical care.

Who writes this

Articles are researched and written by the GutFeel Editorial Team — writers and researchers on our product team. We do not publish under invented bylines, and we do not attribute articles to clinicians who did not write or review them.

How we use AI

We use large language models to help research, structure, and draft articles. Every article is then read and edited by a person before it is published. We disclose this rather than hide it, because how content is made is part of whether you should trust it.

AI drafting also introduces a specific risk we actively check for: plausible-sounding citations that do not exist. Where we cannot confirm a source, we remove the claim instead of keeping it with a vague reference.

Where our information comes from

We work from publicly available, reputable sources, including:

Citing a source means we used it. It does not mean that organisation endorses GutFeel.ai, reviewed our content, or is affiliated with us in any way.

What we will not do

Red-flag symptoms

Digestive symptoms overlap with serious conditions. Where a topic carries warning signs, we say so. Seek medical care promptly for unexplained weight loss, rectal bleeding or black stool, persistent vomiting, difficulty swallowing, fever with abdominal pain, or pain that keeps escalating — these need assessment, not a stricter diet.

Independence

We do not accept payment or sponsorship to recommend specific foods, supplements, or medications. Our articles do promote the GutFeel app, which is our own product. That is a commercial interest, and we disclose it on every page rather than presenting our content as neutral third-party advice.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us and we will correct or remove it. Email editorial@gutfeel.ai. Substantive corrections are reflected in the article's "Updated" date.
